The "Homestead"

I'll admit it is unusual these days to live in one place for a long time. One of the prerequisites for living in one place for a long time, however, is that you must have been alive for a long time.

While meeting that first requirement, I was still startled at the reaction of my (young) neighbor, who was incredulous to find out that I had lived in the same house for 25 years. Oh come on! We had electricity and indoor plumbing and everything back then...

Ma and Pa

Last month, this lovely lady was a frequent visitor to the suet feeder. I haven't seen her for awhile, but now, this fellow coyly creeps through the brush before deciding to check out the food.

My husband and I can't go to the grocery store together, either.
